AIDS
Alert International is offering four vacancies at its
London Secretariat
Volunteer
Development Manager
Function: The Development Manager
will research and develop innovative projects or
programmes for funding, in liaison with the
Director. He/she will also identify and explore
the possibility of AIDS Alert working in other
developing countries.
Volunteer
Programmes Manager
Function: The volunteer Programme
Manager will coordinate the work of AIDS Alert in
Ghana and other parts of Africa as well as manage
projects in the UK. He/she will work closely with
the respective Country Directors. Experience of
'managing from a distance' and the ability to deal
with people from different backgrounds are
essential.
Volunteer Events
Organiser (6 months)
AIDS Alert is currently seeking a volunteer events
organiser to coordinate the formal launch of the
NGO planned for March 2003. He/she will be
involved in identifying appropriate invitees,
arranging the venue, designing leaflets and
general PR tasks. The successful candidate will be
working jointly with a PR consultancy firm that
has been tasked to manage the event.
Intern, Office Assistant
Function: An intern is required to
assist in the smooth running of the UK office.
He/she would be involved in general office tasks,
dealing with telephone calls and general
correspondence. Some personnel work involved. Must
have an amiable personality and good telephone
manners.
This internship is an excellent opportunity to
gain practical experience in working in an office
environment and covering a range of tasks such as
database management, personnel and public
relations.
